Studio 88 : Clients & Testimonials
Benoit Malo (Haze)
I would like to thank you for spending time with me in your studio. I took the week to listen to the recording and everyone was blown away. The recording is impressive. I truly treasured my experience and hope my band and I can meet again for another session.
I spoke to many people about my experience. You are truly a very attentive and patient person, you have a gift of putting people at ease. A relaxed environment is essential when recording and you have demonstrated that.
I’m really looking forward to our next meeting.

We recorded one of our new songs at Studio 88 and, from beginning to end, the whole experience was incredibly positive and professional.
The Studio was comfortable and state of the art. We had all this amazing equipment at our fingertips that allowed us a wide range of sonic variety and choice. Luke is literally at home when sitting behind the console, and knows how to run a smooth productive session. His experience and musical instincts proved to be very valuable.
Setting up, getting the right sound, experimenting and problem solving was all pretty seamless. Luke was full of great ideas and suggestions, quick to adapt to the bands own ideas and needs, yet the pace was relaxed, patient and never rushed. It was great to feel like the song was the priority…the way it should be.
Most importantly, our sessions with Luke had a great creative energy that was completely unique and we really felt he brought out the best performances from the individual members and gave our “little tune” a new direction and dynamics that brought it to life. By the time we were finished, it was a very different song than the one we started with.
When all was said and done, our song got us some radio airplay, some good opportunities and all kinds of compliments on our “new sound”. More than that, we were all really proud and satisfied with the results. The song sounded awesome!

I had a great time working with Luc at Studio 88, we had a wonderful creative experience working together, his expertise sure helped bring our music to a new level. Luc was all the help that we needed to realize the vision we had for our project and without him I'm positive that we would not have come out with such a great product. The studio is loaded with great gear and you will surely find that "something" that you are looking for to achieve every sound you are trying to accomplish through his vintage guitar and amp collection, and the Godsent coffee machine is welcome at all hours of the night for long projects! I will NO DOUBT be back for seconds.

Working with Luke has been an amazing experience. In an industry full of characters, Luke has shown the highest levels of professionalism, understanding, patience and truly appreciates his clients' wants and needs. From recording to mixing, Luke provided us with all the best gear in a relaxed environment. But mostly overall it was fun working with him, didn't really seem like work though. Hey, he's made us sound great, what else can you ask for?

After having done business with three different studios in the Ottawa region, it is clear to me that Studio 88 is by far the more efficient given its state-of-the-art equipment and relaxed atmosphere. The technical knowledge and high professionalism of its main sound engineer (Luke) make Studio 88 the only logical choice for all artists wishing results that meet their expectations.
